About Me

I am an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Northeastern University’s Oakland campus. I create inclusive, hands-on learning experiences that connect engineering concepts with real-world applications. My teaching emphasizes active student engagement, project-based learning, and innovative exams that assess understanding and problem-solving rather than memorization.

Previously, I taught undergraduate and graduate materials science courses at the University of Nevada, Reno. I also served as a Research Scientist and managed the Electron Microscopy and Microanalysis Facility (EMMF), where I trained students and researchers, supported interdisciplinary projects, and provided materials characterization consulting to academic and industry partners.
